Samsung has officially unveiled its newest foldable lineup, and Pakistani buyers are already asking one question: how much will these phones cost here. Since Samsung has not announced local Pakistan pricing yet, this article walks through the confirmed global prices, the full specs, and a realistic price estimate based on how Samsung has priced past foldables in Pakistan.
What Samsung Announced
Samsung held its summer Unpacked event in London on July 22, 2026, where it introduced three new foldable phones: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. This is the first time Samsung has released an “Ultra” branded model in the Fold lineup, alongside a completely new wide-style Fold 8 design built more for content viewing than productivity.
The Fold 8 Ultra is effectively the direct successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, carrying the familiar tall, book-style design that Pakistani buyers are already used to. The regular Fold 8, by contrast, introduces a new wider form factor, closer in shape to a passport, optimized for switching between short-form and long-form content.

Global Pricing (Confirmed)
Samsung has confirmed pricing in the US, UK, and Europe, though Pakistan pricing has not been announced yet. Here is what is confirmed globally:
| Model | US Price | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Fold 8 | $1,899.99 | 256GB |
| Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra | $2,099.99 | 256GB |
| Galaxy Z Flip 8 | $1,199.99 | 256GB |
| Galaxy Z Flip 8 (512GB) | $1,399.99 | 512GB |
The Fold 8 Ultra carries a $100 increase over last year’s Fold 7, and the Flip 8 also jumped by $100 compared to the Flip 7. Samsung has pointed to the ongoing global RAM and memory chip shortage as the main reason behind this year’s price increases across the lineup.

Estimated Pakistan Price
Samsung Pakistan has not confirmed local pricing for any of these three models yet. Based on how the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 were priced in Pakistan compared to their US prices last year, we can build a reasonable estimate.
Last year, the Fold 7’s $1,999 US price translated to roughly Rs. 608,999 in Pakistan, while the Flip 7’s $1,099 US price landed around Rs. 389,999. Applying a similar conversion pattern to this year’s global prices gives the following estimate:
| Model | Estimated Pakistan Price |
|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra | Rs. 630,000 – 660,000 |
| Galaxy Z Fold 8 | Rs. 560,000 – 590,000 |
| Galaxy Z Flip 8 | Rs. 420,000 – 445,000 |
These figures are estimates only, based on historical pricing patterns, and should not be treated as official numbers. Import duty changes, dollar-to-rupee fluctuations, and Samsung’s own regional pricing decisions can all shift the final price once it is officially announced.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra – Full Specs
The Fold 8 Ultra is built for buyers who want maximum performance in a foldable body. Key specs include:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
- 12GB or 16GB RAM (16GB exclusive to the 1TB storage variant)
- Up to 1TB internal storage
- 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging
- 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom
- 10MP cover and inner selfie cameras
- 4.1mm thickness when unfolded, 215 grams weight
- One UI 9 with six months of Google AI Pro included
- Expanded graphite cooling structure to reduce thermal throttling during heavy use
Samsung says the Fold 8 Ultra can restore up to 67 percent of its battery in about 30 minutes under test conditions, a notable improvement in charging speed compared to earlier Fold models.
Galaxy Z Flip 8 – Full Specs
The Flip 8 is a more measured update compared to last year’s Flip 7, with most of the changes focused on the cover screen experience rather than a full redesign.
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (US units) or Exynos 2600 (most other regions)
- 12GB RAM
- 256GB or 512GB storage
- 4,300mAh battery (silicon carbon cell design)
- 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP front camera
- 6.1mm thickness unfolded, 180 grams weight
- Nearly crease-free foldable display, a first for the Flip series
- Redesigned FlexWindow cover screen with expanded gesture support and Galaxy AI features
- One UI 9 running on Android 17
Your region determines whether you get the Snapdragon or Exynos chip, and there is no way to choose between them at purchase.
Should You Wait for the Official Pakistan Launch
If you are set on buying either of these foldables, waiting for Samsung Pakistan’s official announcement is the safer route rather than importing a unit early. An officially launched phone comes with local warranty coverage and PTA registration handled at the point of sale, both of which matter for a device in this price range.
Importing a unit yourself before the official Pakistan launch means dealing with PTA tax separately, and you lose access to Samsung’s local warranty and service centers if anything goes wrong.

What Changed From Last Year’s Fold 7 and Flip 7
The clearest change is the introduction of the Fold 8 Ultra as a distinct tier above the standard Fold 8, something Samsung has never done before in the Fold lineup. The regular Fold 8 also breaks from the familiar tall foldable shape with its new wider design, while the Fold 8 Ultra keeps the traditional form factor buyers are already familiar with from the Fold 7.
For the Flip series, the redesigned cover screen and near crease-free display stand out as the two most meaningful upgrades, while the camera and battery specs remain close to last year’s Flip 7.
