Google has locked in a date for its next big hardware event, and the countdown to the Pixel 11 series has officially begun. Here is what Google has confirmed so far, what is still based on leaks, and whether any of it matters for buyers in Pakistan.
When Is the Google Pixel 11 Launching
Google has officially confirmed its Made by Google 2026 event for Wednesday, August 12, at 6 PM ET (3 PM PT), held in New York City for the second year in a row. This is about a week earlier than last year’s event, continuing Google’s pattern of pushing the launch date slightly earlier each year.
The event invite itself only shows a shiny gold metal camera visor and the phrase “the next generation of Pixel,” without naming specific models or confirming detailed specs. Everything beyond the date, time, and location comes from leaks rather than an official Google statement, so it is worth treating specs and pricing as expectations rather than facts until Google confirms them on stage.

What Google Is Expected to Announce
Multiple outlets tracking Pixel leaks expect four new phones at the event:
- Google Pixel 11
- Google Pixel 11 Pro
- Google Pixel 11 Pro XL
- Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold
The Pixel Watch 5 lineup is also widely expected to debut alongside the phones, continuing Google’s habit of pairing phone and watch launches at the same event.

Leaked Specs: Tensor G6 Chip
The biggest confirmed shift, based on leaks corroborated across several tech outlets, is a move to the Tensor G6 chip built on a 2nm manufacturing process. This would mark a jump from the previous generation’s fabrication process and is expected to bring efficiency gains alongside raw performance improvements.
The chip reportedly uses a 7-core layout, with a single high-performance core, four mid-tier cores, and two efficiency cores, paired with a MediaTek modem instead of the Samsung-made modems Google has used in recent years. If accurate, this modem switch could address longstanding complaints about connectivity issues on past Pixel devices.

Leaked Specs: Displays and Design
Based on leaked specifications, expected display sizes stay close to last year’s lineup:
| Model | Display Size | Refresh Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Pixel 11 | 6.3-inch OLED | 120Hz |
| Pixel 11 Pro | 6.3-inch OLED | 120Hz |
| Pixel 11 Pro XL | 6.8-inch OLED | 120Hz |
Design leaks point to a familiar horizontal camera bar and slim bezels, with one notable new addition: a feature nicknamed “Pixel Glow,” an RGB LED array built into the camera bar, similar in concept to the notification lighting seen on Nothing phones. Reports suggest this could replace the skin temperature sensor found on last year’s Pro models.
Leaked Specs: Cameras
Camera hardware is expected to change more than the outside design. The base Pixel 11 is rumored to get a new main sensor, while the Pro and Pro XL models are expected to receive different new sensors for both their main and telephoto cameras. This kind of hardware swap does not happen every year for Pixel phones, so if confirmed, it suggests Google is treating the camera as a meaningful upgrade point this cycle rather than a minor refinement.

Expected Pricing
Leaked pricing estimates suggest the following starting points, though none of this is officially confirmed:
- Pixel 11: around $799 to $899
- Pixel 11 Pro: around $999 to $1,099
- Pixel 11 Pro XL: around $1,199
- Pixel 11 Pro Fold: around $1,849 to $1,999
Some reports suggest the base Pixel 11 could ship with 256GB of storage as standard, up from 128GB previously, which could explain part of any price increase. If this holds, it would mean less storage-tier confusion for buyers, since the entry-level option would already offer more space.
What This Means for Buyers in Pakistan
Google does not currently sell Pixel phones through an official channel in Pakistan, and there has been no indication that this will change with the Pixel 11 series. Buyers who want a Pixel phone typically rely on imports through resellers or personal contacts abroad, which means dealing with PTA registration tax separately, along with a higher effective cost once import charges are added.
If you are considering an imported Pixel 11, it is worth waiting until after the August 12 event for confirmed pricing and specs, since import resellers in Pakistan often adjust their rates based on the official US or UK launch price once it is announced.
Should You Wait for the Pixel 11 or Buy Now
If you already own a Pixel 10 or a recent flagship from another brand, the Pixel 11’s rumored upgrades, mainly the new chip, camera sensors, and modem, are meaningful but not necessarily urgent reasons to switch immediately. Waiting for real reviews after the August 12 launch is generally the safer approach, since early leaks do not always match the final retail product exactly.
If you are buying your first flagship-level phone and are not tied to the Pixel ecosystem specifically, comparing the confirmed Pixel 11 specs against already-available flagships in Pakistan, such as the Galaxy S26 series, will likely give you a clearer, less speculative picture.

Conclusion
Google has confirmed one solid fact so far: the Pixel 11 series arrives on August 12 in New York City. Everything else, from the Tensor G6 chip to the Pixel Glow lighting and expected pricing, remains based on leaks until Google confirms it on stage. For buyers in Pakistan, the bigger question is not just specs but availability, since Pixel phones still are not sold through an official local channel here.
